My Molnija 3602 pocket watch21 Apr 2025Hello! I was not writing anything interesting on that blog for a long time. Actually, there wasn't a single article written with real conscious thought since the blog started. I'm planning to change this using the article you are reading now. I own a cool pocket Molnija with a red dial and small seconds. It uses the Molnia 3602 movement. I think mine is accurate, with less than +-20 seconds daily error. This model is pretty popular. Molnia made lots of novelty timepieces for anniversaries of things that were important/promoted in the USSR. The red dial is just a standard design popular in pocket watches. Molnia Caliber 3602 was made between 1960 and 2008 (for 48 years). It was the most popular soviet pocket watch movement. It is based on Cortebert 616 (produced in Switzerland in the 1930 and 1940ies). It doesn't have shock protection. It beats at 18000 BPH. It has seconds at 3. |
